Love music - hate idiots

i was flipping through my Rock Sound and AP mags and i came across the readers' letter section and there were 2 letters that i would 110% agree with.

1. Rock Sound issue 108.
There was this girl named Helen. She's a huge fan of Tokio Hotel and she claimed that she got a lot of hate from people who dont like them.
"It's ridiculous. I dont go around saying how much i dislike a band, or join said band's forum to annoy their members. It all seems childish. Can we all live in peace and just accept that all people are different, and therefore are going to like different things?! Music brings us so much pleasure, i cannot understand how for some ppl it's an excuse to bring hate."

2. Alternative Press issue 238
A dude named Garrett from Grand Island, NY. Like me, he was totally mad with the word "sellouts", which many ppl said about Fall Out Boy.
"Bands such as FOB are achieving something many bands in this scene wont ever be able to do, and that's make enough money to live. making music is a career. We do not own these ppl. We should embrace bands with this popularity, because without them, there is no "scene" for us. Music is music. We are all united under one category : People who love music. Maybe the next time you think calling a band sellouts, think about being on tour 200 days a year, not seeing your family, barely having money to survive while being in a smelly, used van. Then, question whether or not you would try and make some money too."

Well said, guys. Totally spot on.
